Barça Set to Play First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in the Spanish league two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted an open training session at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body to host the next European match facing Eintracht on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
