The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident

The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in the state of California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.

The influential game designer lost his life when his car crashed and burst into flames on a highway in LA on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.

"We are facing a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
