The Opening Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Remains Committed.

In numerous discussions, commentators persist in tolling the funeral bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content on PS5 topics as a new development. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for the Xbox ecosystem. However, judging purely by the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company still intends to attract subscribers with quality releases on its flagship service.

The Available Now Titles

The two games you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

On Jan. 13, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "an ideal blend of frights and fights."

Compelling Indie Titles

But even the smaller games set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, drops on Jan. 7th — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year might get its hooks in you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Well-Rounded Collection

All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service alone. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. There's a good mixture of older titles you may have skipped and relatively recent releases that didn't get the attention they warranted upon launch — rendering them excellent choices to experience a revival on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
